In cooperation with The Bonn English Singers under the lead of artistic director Stephen Harrap, the actors of the Bonn University Shakespeare Company will perform Shakespeare’s most inspiring, romantic, or heart-wrenching monologues, dialogues, and sonnets.
The performance will weave together Shakespeare’s timeless poetry and drama with the rich harmonies and evocative melodies of choral music, creating an immersive experience that transcends the boundaries of time and language. What: All the world’s a stage! Join us at a beautiful outdoor location for a festival of creative backstage activities with the Bonn University Shakespeare Company. We offer interactive workshops in make-up, stage building, textile printing, yoga for actors, improvisation, and dance. The event is donation-based. The revenue will go to the Förderverein Brotfabrik Bühne Bonn e.V.
Please bring:
- Cup/mug
- Cloth bag, T-shirt, or other textiles for our textile painting station
- Water – it’s going to be a hot day! Some drinks will be sold but water is a must

This summer, the BUSC is presenting a self-written play by Hanna Schaefer and Bruno Kaut, inspired by the Salem witch trials: The Creation of a Witch.
You are about to witness the biggest spectacle of the year 2084! We have our cameras on the surface of Planet 24 to film the new settlement: Salem Colony.
But what is this, witches in the newfound colony? Or were the girls simply dancing? A community cries witch and fear rears its ugly head. A tribunal is installed, and people are condemned. Is the planet really turning the inhabitants of Salem against the colony? Or are the motives simply greed, power, and love? It seems like Inquisitor Dark has his hands full with keeping the colony in line and productive. Good thing he and the planet’s Administrator are experienced in these matters and know to trust a certain Abigail and her friends to make out the traitors.
